Like the woman who moved the cup on her desk further away from her....why would you do something like this, which is gonna make a noise, at this specific time of the day? It's only 2 minutes of your day. I ensure I make NO noise in those 2 minutes. My PC was locked, and I sat, with my hands together (not like I was praying, though ), didnt fidget, didnt rearrange furniture, didn't move a muscle. I don't see what's so difficult about it.
When people aren't doing something specific, they start doing unnecessary random things which often spoils the whole idea that YOU STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING and you REMEMBER THAT PEOPLE HAVE DIED for you to be here today. It really isn't to much to ask that you just stop talking for two minutes. Some moron thought it would be funny to yell "BONER!" really loud when our college was in silence. No one laughed.

If you have a conscience, I recommend NOT fueling the media firestorm. It isn't helping the victims or their families, and it just ostracizes our community further. Call it how you see it, but keep your righteous anger to yourself and channel it towards something productive.

I found out yesterday Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket tomorrow (presumably at the football game). I really hope I never see them.
Unfortunately your school is vilifying and ostracizing itself. What do you expect when a large number of people from your school support a pedophile protecting football coach?

I like that. It seems that you have a moral obligation to do so.

"In beer there is strength, in wine there is wisdom, in water there is bacteria"

Or something like that.
