I also got hit by a deer today. I don't know how I forgot to mention that. And yes: I do mean got hit by a deer, not the other way around.

Slammed on the brakes because the freaking thing darted out in the street - in the afternoon, which was kind of weird. At a dead stop, the deer crashed into the side of my car, then ran behind my car and off into the woods.

Some light scuffing on my driver's side, but no dents. And the deer busted its nose, but seemed otherwise fine. It was very bizarre.

At least your car was there to bring the deer to a mostly safe stop, right?

Uh wow that's horrible. At least it didn't splat all over your car, that would be a wretched thing to deal with.

I don't know what I would have done if I'd not been able to stop and killed the deer. It was frightening that it ran into my car (smallish doe) but I'm very pleased that the deer wasn't killed. It ended way better than it could have for my car, the deer, and me.

Yeah. Seriously, it could have potentially been a rather traumatic experience. I'm glad that nobody got really hurt.

Exaggerating. But ok.

At least it wasn't that serious.

I am currently eating a bacon doughnut at one of the local bakeries.

My life is perfect right now.

Just found out my dad's in hospital after a heart attack. They told him he has triple artery disease and he is waiting to find out about surgery. It's night here but will visit him tomorrow to find out more.
