Well, regurgitating knowledge of History is the only skill in life I actually have so not being able to go to Uni for it kind of limits my options.

Or start a small business. If it fails, start another. If that fails, start another. Learn from your mistakes.

****, people act like going to college is the only possible future for a person. Take some control over your life, don't let a grade tell you how to live.
idk about you man but that doesn't sound like a great reaction to flunking a test.

Not to sound harsh, but if you flunked your test you're not quite as good as you thought you were, and there is absolutely no way I will believe that you have no other skill/gift/talent/whatever. I'm sorry, but I get rather annoyed when I see people being down on themself so much. I'm sure you are a lovely person with a lot of worth. Seriously, go do something about it. Learn to do something else.

I need to leave before I get mad. I'm sleepy and am probably not making sense.

Just suggestions. I'm personally taking my first suggestion, so I don't see that as such a bad idea.

So in the US you still have aptitude tests that will tell you whether or not you're fit to go to university or college? I'm assuming that these are separate from the SAT or the ACT.

Thats exactly what it is an aptitude test. They generally call them college entrance exams.

Oh ok! See I have no idea because we don't have any sort of tests like that. To get into university or college here you just need a high school diploma and the minimum grade in 12th grade classes that are required for the major you want to pursue.

The SAT and ACT are completely optional and only necessary if you're applying to schools in the US - I took the SAT, got a good score, but did not end up selecting an American school. At least it goes on my transcript.

Its basically a test to determine where you will be placed in your college courses. If you score at a much higher rate you will be placed in classes with a higher curriculum and also in some instances be placed ahead of the 101 introductory courses. Its similar to AP classes in high school.
