Had to work today. I drove myself, with my grandmother riding with me. She drove the car back, because my mom had to work and needed the other car, and my grandmother had a meeting and a doctor's appointment.

After getting stuck on a hell call, I got off at 8:45 (fifteen minutes late) and went out to get picked up by my mom. She was all, "Oh, by the way. We have to go to the hospital. They admitted your Nana and think she may have been having a heart attack."

So, yeah. That sucked. She seemed pretty much fine. Her tests came back good, except her cholesterol seemed a little high - but they're keeping her overnight so she can have a stress test in the morning. So, no heart attack, but they're not quite sure what the ****.

The bitch of it is that she lost her health insurance about a year ago, and had been going through extreme pains to stay healthy. Was going to allocate my tax refund to my new phone, but I'm thinking that helping her pay those hellacious ER, x-ray, and test bills.

Aww man, I honestly feel so bad for you. You work hard to earn everything you have and it's just a shame to see you not getting a treat that you were really looking forward to! Although it is going to good by helping your Nana's hospital bills I just can't help but find your situation a little crappy. But what can ya do? :(

Today I was eating lunch when I heard this guy at a table near me launch into one of those Yakov Smirnoff "In Russia..." jokes, complete with accent. I waited intently for the punchline but he just started talking about his old job. In Russia. Because he was actually Russian.

I stayed home and played music all day because my Physics teacher (an octogenarian) was sick. I got together with my best friend who really just hung out instead of jamming, which is a bit out of the ordinary for us. We decided to go for a hike but changed our minds after about 20 minutes of the sun beating down on us and scorching our pasty and Scandinavian skin.

We didn't jam much, but I made what I believe to be one of the better ambient pieces that I've ever made. It's very droney and during this forty minute piece that I made, I found the exact direction that I've been trying to find with my collection of pedals (only four so far, and two are my dad's) for quite a while now. I am really happy with what I've accomplished today musically, even though I completely ignored an essay that I had to write tonight. I still have tomorrow to write the essay, so what's the rush (famous last wordsd).

Oh yeah, and on one jam that we did, some nearby frogs in a pond really liked what we were doing on sax and acoustic guitar and they started singing! We totally jammed with frogs, and I'm glad that I'll be able to say that before I die .

Nearly finished recording our album. There are 21 songs . Some of them are pretty mad! Just added trumpets and flutes last night and did some finalising harmonies.

I've had the same experience, only with a Nylon Acoustic, and the birds around me somewhere in the woods in Michigan. Oneof those moments where I wish I had a portable recorder with me.

I tried joining a movie forum site called Joblo cause I have a pretty vast appreciation for film as well as music, but it felt too strange to talk to new people and I felt out of place, so then I came back to here and now I fit in again (I think)
