So we caught the bus up there, went to the cinema to see The Ringer (it was great) went back to my house got a chinese and lazed around for the rest of the day. Great example of how a bad day can be turned brilliant within an hour.

Interesting. Yesterday I also went to my nearest shopping centre (the Bullring), saw a movie (Trans-America, also very good) and ate chinese. I mostly cooked the chinese myself - eggfried rice and stir-fry chicken, but I let my housemate, who's from Hong Kong, flavour the meat. He made it taste horrible! I'm not trusting those cantonese with no chinese cooking again!!

TrampInaTux 03-26-2006 04:37 AM

I went to Touchwood, but you practically had the same style of day as me. Except I don't have a ***** roommate who ruins my food.

DontRunMeOver 03-26-2006 04:45 AM

Well, I did let myself in for it. He came in when I was cooking and wanted to cook himself something using the wok and stove - the same things I was using. As he was in a hurry I said he could share my food instead and that, as I'm not generally a fussy eater, he could flavour it himself before I cooked it.

I started to regret this when he put in oyster sauce, chilli sauce, sugar, cornflour, black pepper etc... all in together. It wasn't the combination of ingredients that worried me though, it was the comparitive amounts. I've never seen that much black pepper go near any food before. Nasty.

I know, what are the odds. Maybe the ***ness and the chineseness cancel each other out somehow...

does he at least have a good fashion sense? or sense of fashion even?

DontRunMeOver 03-26-2006 05:27 AM

Kind of. He owns a lot of skinny, bright coloured t-shirts and small jeans, which would make him look like a *** stereo-type... but he's really skinny (about 9 stone at 174cm), so the clothes aren't actually tight fitting.

He wears good clothes. For the amount of time he spends looking around clothes shops, coupled with the fact he's from Hong Kong, he wouldn't have many excuses not to dress well really.

well at least he has that...what's the use of being gay ( aside from the over abundance of casual sex ) if you don't have a good fashion sense i ask you????

that's an interesting combination of the metric and "imperial colonial pigs" system ( stones and centimeters ) by the way...

I was thinking that even as I typed it... I wasn't able to do the conversion to kilos in my head, so I left it as it was.

Borderline treason. DRMO...always use imperial measurements in the face of the enemy.

Well, that's the same question that I can never understand. Despite having many *** friends I still just don't understand why anybody would fancy a man. By the same token, I don't understand why women are straight either. Glad that they are, but why wouldn't they all be lesbians?

Sometimes I feel like that's one of the reasons why *** guys (and straight girls) tend to like me, I'm like the stupid kid at school who doesn't understand the lesson, you sit next to them and feel clever when they ask you dumb questions.

2.54cms away from right-track. (Geddit!?)

EDIT: Don't worry, our system is still rife across the world. They haven't started calling it '30cm ball' yet...

That's an interesting question. One after years of experience (mostly bad) I still don't know the answer to.

With men you can have quality conversations about anything, such as football, beer, music and all kinds of crazy stuff. Men are much better company on a night out, you don't have to watch how you behave as much.
But at the end of the day...you can't shag yer mates.
That's as close as I can get it.

^ straight guy perspective.

Translate all of the metric measurements I wrote into the imperial equivalent. Oh no, I think this is engineer humour (edges towards window ledge...).

adidasss 03-26-2006 06:19 AM

i think the nature of sexual attraction is interesting. why are we sexually attracted to certain sexes? why does a specific form or shape of nature make us want to have sex with it? why aren't we for example, attracted to bottles of milk or computer screens? why is the female breast an object of desire for some and not for others? why do my pupils widen when i see a six pack ( and no, not beers ) on a man and i have no reaction on seeing a naked female body?
edit: sometimes i'm not sure if i use certian english expression the right way...so correct me if i'm wrong, but it is called a six pack right? visible abdominal muscles?

You could, but I'd imagine it would make things extremely difficult the next day.

In terms of conversations and walking normally.

True, talking about Rugby League with that person would'nt be quite the same.

adidasss, I envy gay men. Being straight is a curse.
Unfortunately for me, my penis has a higher IQ than my brain.

oh i think i sense some prejudices....what i got from this statement is that if you have sex with another man, that man is no longer "a proper" man, meaning, doing regular guy stuff wouldn't be the same because somehow he would be transformed into a bitch? you think gay men can't be proper men and talk about footy and rugby? let's see you squirm your way out of this one.....;)

oh and don't you think it's even a bigger bitch to be gay where you are attracted to people who want to have just as much sex as you do ( as opposed to women )? we're still men=controled by our penises....

well, if you're going by character traits, i think men win on that one, they can be funny, charming, intelligent, emotional etc. plus, you have much more things in common with a guy than with a girl....as far as physical stuff goes, you can't really explain that. if we're talking about ideals, i find a well built male body more beautiful than a fantastic female body. plus, the penis is much more diverse and rewarding than titties....;)

oh and i dunno who you hang out with, but men don't stink and women smell good because they perfume the shit out of themselves....besides, i'm a smoker and can't smell shit anyways...

hahaha...c'mon right-track, don't be a pussy...

i have a question for the straight guys, you find nothing at all special in a well built male body? doesn't interest you at all? i can say that a fantastic female body does intrigue me, good pair of tits, nice ass....i can look at that, even if without sexual interest....so....?

Its something I've never quite got, why people want to have so much in common with a partner. It must be something that depends on personality. Another part of why I like women so much is that they're DIFFERENT to me. They don't think about things in the same way, they have different motivations, different views, different insights and come up with a lot of thoughts I'd never have got to alone. With men, its true, we do have much more in common and this means that so much of what other guys say is something I've probably already thought of - and vice versa.

And women smell best when they've just been to the gym and are smelling of girl-sweat:love: Its not the perfume...

well, after living with 3 women for 23 years, i have to say that i don't think they think very much differently than men. and i don't quite understand why you would not want someone that thinks the same way you do. i think it would create a lot of communication problems....but maybe friction is what you like...*shurgs*

In a way. If I see a sprinter wandering around with that clingy lycra on then I often think, "wow, if I were built like that I'd be able to run really fast", likewise, when I see a male model or movie star then I might make a mental note of what constitutes 'male beauty', as I figure that its important for me to know this. It is something that I've had to learn, because my root nature just tells me that men are ugly and that women are pretty (apart from those who look masculine), to quite a severe degree.

well that's something i never understood. most men in fact think men are ugly, which in turn means they find themselves ugly and repulsive. that's not a very healthy attitude. i like my body thankyouverymuch and wouldn't want to be a woman. isn't that the end result of your obsession with the female form? that you would in fact preffer to be one? heheh*twists words*

Well, I think they do think differently to men - they certainly behave differently a lot of the time - and well 'friction' isn't really a good decription of my communication with people who think differently to me (not from my perspective anyway) I can continue a friendly argument or misuderstanding for hours without getting remotely agitated.

However, at the moment I can't continue it as the gym must be visited before band practise and band pratise is just two hours away!

Ciao for now.

ok, just a final thought then. you visit the gym? i see, so you are in fact full of shit when you say the male body is repulsive because i would say you go to the gym for yourself, so you can look better to yourself rather than to others and you do in fact appreciate the well built male body. which in the end makes you gay.....thank you and good night.;)

I wouldn't be unhappy being a lesbian (as long as I were a fit one with fit lesbian friends). However, although I don't think I'm attractive - you're right about that - I really like having male abilities and wouldn't choose to lose them at the expense of finding myself attractive, which isn't a big issue to me anyway. Also, I like that fact that if an ugly man did try to force himself upon me I could quite easily deck him, not so easy for a woman to do.

That's a good point, although again, I'm just going to go for cardio exercise, to keep my heart healthy, to stop me from getting fidgety at work and to increase my fitness for singing. I'd go running, but the streets are concrete and would eventually destroy my knees, plus its raining.

Also, there are some very nice girls at the gym!
