Chewed Skoal long cut for a long time. Still miss it. Like most success stories there was no magic. Just stopped cold turkey. Of course I notice I drink a lot more so one vice for another. Dammit, could use a chew right now. Son of a bitch.

Playing a huge St Pats day party tomorrow. Lots of musicians from different local bands, and it's an all day affair. I'm going over to help set up tonight, bringing all my equipment (amps, basses, dobro, and guitars) so it'll be ready in the morning since the party starts at 9:30am tomorrow. This will be 4 years that we've done this and although it's exhausting as a mofo, it's always satisfying.

Today I put my notice in to quit my job. By this time next week I will be unemployed! Yay!

I've hated it for so damn long and tried to convince myself that I wasn't being stifled and that I had a good thing going, which I kinda did. But I'm stifled. I can do better than this ****ty ass cafe with owners who won't let me make changes that would kick ass and that customers very obviously want. And the Burmese thing we started doing in the evening? It's not going anywhere and is so simple and boring I just can't be assed to bother learning more about it. I've got enough money for the rest of the month at least but am gonna enjoy some time off before looking for more work. I am very happy with my decision, I think actually putting the notice in is the kick in the pants I need to start really being proactive about getting the **** outta this city and finding work and a life elsewhere.
