Did you here the story about during the recording sessions for the title track this really obese guy showed up in the studio who had a completely shaved head including his eyebrows? Dude was pretty much incoherent and just sat there watching.

Once Gilmour realized it was Syd he broke down and bawled.

(The shaved eyebrow scene in the movie version of The Wall was based on this)

Ja, I know the history of the album. Still don't like it though.

Just chiming in with a delightful day. Helped DJ a vinyl night at a local spot. Turned a lot of people on to some great tunes, educated the venue owner on the skinny of analog vs digital, and now he's buying a used TT for all his old LPs. The night was a huge success and we've been invited back to host an event each month. Had a blast.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Floyd-bashing.

Nope. Not having that. Great Floyd cover from my 2nd fave Canadian band.

A few minutes ago, I decided to reread this Floyd discussion, and "Wish You Were Here" came on the radio. Kinda eerie.

Hearing it again made me realize what an awesome song it is.

One of the best things to come out of the music industry at the time:

The live version from Pulse is a real treat too, if you're a fan.
