I actually did not believe that was done, until i googled it just now.

That is disgusting, I have just read that it is the equivilent to humans having their finger tips cut off.

And also that cats need their claws for protection, what if a big dog came after it? They also need their claws for balance.

I'm only considering it because the cat tried to scratch my eyes out and the guy recommneded it since the cat appeared to want to scratch his arms off.
I'm not having it neutered or anything though.
And I don't want to have it declawed unless it's absolutely necessary anyhow.

but since you guys seem to be cat experts is there I should since I am defintiely gonna adopt the cat

Neutering is understandable though, I can't stand the thought of unwanted kitties, although it's not very humane.

But declawing? All kittens like to scratch things, get used to it.

How is neutering ok unless it's pure blood?

I absolutely hate the way people go on about some breeds of animals. The only time I care about it, is if someone is describing an animal to me, breeding damages animals.

Young cats do that , the whole point of getting a cat is to train it to stop it doing stuff like that. My cat used to hide from people all the time , eventually it got used to me & stopped and now it follows me around everywhere. If you are any good at looking after it eventually it`ll get used to you and stop scratching.

And if you think that declawing it is more important than getting it spayed then I feel really sorry for the poor thing.

It's like getting a dogs teeth removed, isn't it?

My dog bites a lot when she's playing, but she's only playing.

keep the lines pure
neutering prevents unwanted, and uneeded kittens that will just die
its humane.
like some humans should be neutered, its only humane

well i'm not getting the cat spayed or neutered or anything like that.
It is not a sure thing that i'm getting the cat declawed.

and given what you guys have said and what my one of my best friend recommends i don't think i'll get the kitten declawed. However if after the first 6 months it has dangerous tendencies where claws are involved then i'll consider it.
