Good idea actually.
I know that grunting helps me when I'm weight training, but perhaps it's time to take it to the next level.
I've always jogged while listening to music without vocals, but that's easily changed.

Possibly the most beneficial thing is the distracting of the mind. It's why in the military with the battalion run (I've said this before) you can bang out ten miles without even realizing it. You're not focusing on each shoe hitting the pavement. You're focusing on the next set of words coming the Sergeant's mouth, and you're focused on being louder than the guy next to you.

Whenever I tried to sing in his style I failed miserably.
