Mechanic said there's a possibility it's not that bad. He has to get in and look around. That's worst case scenario. I'm just really down and cynical and believe that's really gunna happen. It will. It's totally gunna be three grand.

I had a transmission rebuilt a year back and it was only 1200.00.

Maybe you caught it before a lot of metal scraps and fragments made its way to the rear of the car. He said if he had to go to the rear it would be that much. I drove it for about two hours after the initial sound was heard of the shot piston. I don't know how much damage I did getting it to my family mechanic.

The worst part is...I can't afford this. I'm going to have to do the thing I hate doing the most...asking my parents for help. They've spent enough money on my brothers adventures with the law. The guilt is going to be hard.

That's pretty pricy, you can get someone to do that for free I bet.

A parent is never going to mind helping out their kid with genuine issues. It's the self inflicted stuff that's tough to swallow. (your brother, my son)

Frowny gets two points for beating The Bat to the punch.

I'm like Jason Kidd when it comes to setting those two up with jokes.

Tried going out without getting mercilessly drunk.
Pretty awesome, as it turns out. Remember everything, no awkward conversations, no ****ing hangover...
Becoming 'old and boring' and rationalizing it is fun.

You forgot to add "no pregnant fat chicks" to that list... Intentional omission, I wonder?? ;)

The Batlord 10-10-2015 10:32 AM

He lives in Poland. I'm pretty sure there are nothing but pregnant fat chicks.
