if you post a "conventional" song that still sounds good and interesting... then i will give you props on it

i have no doubt you can string some chords together... you strike me as at least somewhat versed in theory

i'm talking about make a decent normal song that isn't 'experimental' sounding with an original melody/structure that is catchy and sounds good... if you can do that then i will be surprised.. and then you can rub it in that i was wrong about you hiding your lack of inspiration/talent behind an elaborate array of non-dance-inducing sounds that are supposed to be taken as 'experimental'

It's all catchy and sounds good to me, so I guess I've proven you wrong?

While we're at it we should convince Kanye to front a country rock band.

i mean write something that i could play for your average person and they'd actually consider tapping their foot to it.

I could write a pop song easily, but whether or not it can be a hit goes far beyond the composition itself. The thing is that I'm not a fan of that music so...why would I want to play it? I play the music I enjoy, that's really all that matters.

could you write a decent pop song then... one with the potential to be a hit sans any marketing... which is basically just a decent catchy pop song?
