Well a lot of them don't misinterpret the bibles verses. I'm only speaking from what I've been told, but I know a lot of people who are Christian and homosexual will base their beliefs on certain parts of the bible, and not in its entirety. Which I would think is more agnostic. But what do I know.

That's true with any "believer", as various parts of this amalgam of authors utterly disagree with other parts. As an example, Kent Hovind claims that he believes every letter of the bible, then denies flat earth models (one of the only times he's not wrong) which is clearly stated in any 100% literal interpretation. There's oodles of examples of this.
