Still can't get over how insane it was to watch in real time. Seeing the booster exploding off and falling back to earth while the rest of the rocket moved onward and upward - just plain awe man.

Did you have any idea what it was at the time? I saw it from start to finish, thought it was like...some kind of missile defense test or some ****, mostly just thinking what the ****.

Yup, saw the whole thing. Was standing at my car with a bag of food in my hand. Noticed a guy on his iPhone in the car next me. Knocked on his window and pointed. He looked at me like WTF? So I pointed up again. He was immediately out of his car and freaking and filming. He was the one that told me what he figured it was.

Even with all of the light pollution in the mini-mall it was still so damn bright.

Can't imagine what it must have looked like from out in the desert.

Yep, a nuke to NK was one of the first thoughts on my mind right before it started spreading. It looked like it was launched from right down the block.
