Linda has family in Chicago and we've visited a number of times. Deep dish is good. Really good. But I'll take NY/NJ thin crust any day of the week - even though my ultimate fave is New England style Greek pizza.

Nope. Not even close. That looks like something from Domino's.

Pizzeria Luigi - Golden Hill and Northpark- San Diego, CA

Key words: In and San Diego. Until you've actually tried Lou Malnatti's, you'll just be someone who thinks he's getting good pizza.

Next time you're in Chicago try some thin crust, the kind they cut into squares. It's way better than east coast pizza.

Never been to any of those.

Yes, on the thin crust. We order from a bar down the street that has some incredible thin crust pizza. Sausage, Mushroom, Green Pepper is amazing, and it's from a freakin bar.

Lol at all these old fogies waxing nostalgic about pizza.

Zip it punk. Go make some mac and cheese... or better yet, get your mom to make it.

Got any hole-in-the-wall places I can get some "real mac 'n' cheese"?

Sublime Ale House

I don't have a favourite pizza place, I make my own.

Pizza hate has no place on this forum.

Pfffttt.

STFU until you've sat down and eaten a top shelf NE style greek pie.

I've eaten Lou's. It's incredible. It's apples to oranges to Luigi's though.

Guy Fieri from triple D has eaten pizza at literally thousands of places across the country and lists Luigi's as one of the top ten. And as far as deep dish goes?

Gino's East > Lou's.

So, just things that stereotypical Chicagoans would know about?
