I am already an ordained minister, I'll check that out if my other ventures don't work out.

Seriously. Corporations don't like facial hair.

Having actually worked for Edelman as a contractor in the past, I can tell you no one will give two shits about someone having a beard.

And having worked in marketing for several large corporations in general, dudes with facial hair abound in that industry. No one cares.

What does having a beard and Frownland being in the same sentence have anything to do with the discussion?

Hey guys, why did the chicken cross the road? *snickers*

I threw an impromptu party today and there are a lot of drunk people passed out everywhere now.

^And if anybody knows corporate culture it's this guy :p:

But this topic does interest me b/c I am sporting 3 weeks growth of an imperfect beard in a very corporate atmosphere so I'm always looking around for reactions. So far everyone is giving me even more respect, if anything, so I'm pleased.

I don't know what Frownland's beard looks like now but I remember it being heavy on the wispy teenage side, which I don't think I could pull off at my workplace. But he's a tall man so people will probably let it go, especially if like he says it'll be working in the "creative" side of a corporation with other 20-something sort-of-artists.

I just hope we can go back to a time some 150 years ago when men grew 4-6 inch beards no matter what. I think we are headed in that direction.
