Damn It!!!!!!

Just sliced the **** out of the tip of my left hand index finger. Had to cut open a bag and made the stupid mistake of not paying attention to the position of the blade. As I jammed the knife in my finger went along for the ride.

Bled like a mofo and hurt like hell - amazing how many nerve endings you have in your fingertips. Bathed in isopropyl alcohol *STING!*, then neosporin, gauze, and tape. Safe to say my guitars will be taking a week or so off.

Thing is it wasn't a "playing with knives" cut. It was just plain old stupidity and not paying attention. And, of course, it's ended up worse than any of my "playing with knives" cuts.

Linny can't stomach the sight of blood. I had to have her tape the gauze on and she was just about heaving. She was out of town when I cut my foot. Otherwise I would have been cleaning vomit along with blood out of the carpet.

Bleeding seems to have stopped. BTW: tough typing at the moment.

Did you know raw manuka honey actually has healing properties? Take it from one who's been through the same thing. The manuka honey healed it up very quickly.
