i had 2 experiences like that in high school. had one girl in my class ask if Abraham Lincoln was a real person, and another girl asked what Hitler's last name was.

I can understand other places being confusing but not that.

I mean, a person of such idiocy in England would probably know what Germany was just cause they'd have to, but here in America where the rest of the world is "just a theory", I can believe in that level of ignorance. This wouldn't be the first time I've been flabbergasted at my coworkers' stupidity.

Back in my day, dang nabbit, folks knew that Germany was a country.

I'd waited patiently for T2: Trainspotting to see it in the theatre proper. The January 22nd UK premiere came and went and I learned that we wouldn't get it stateside for another several months.

March 17th arrived and I thought, "great - this weekend, I'll have a go."

Now I've discovered that it won't be showing in my city.

I give up. I couldn't pay to see it even if I wanted to. Downloading a DVD screener to enjoy it in the comfort of my own home.

I knew a chick who thought thunder was the sound of clouds crashing into mountains.

Last week my dad asked me what a mantle was.

**** **** **** **** ****

Linda just called me balling her eyes out. Couple weeks back she landed a full time job real close to home for $5 more than minimum wage and full health insurance benefits. She'd been working part time for now training and was scheduled to go full time April 1st. She loved the job too.

The chick she was replacing changed her mind and decided to stay on so Linda was let go. Back to part time, zero benefits, and minimum wage at a retail store. And we have to keep spending $500 a month for her ****ty insurance.

First good thing to happen to us the past couple of years and it just got ripped away.

The Batlord 03-24-2017 11:08 AM

Same thing happened to my mom a while back, and she's been in dire straights as well, and this was just as much of a **** you. Kinda hate *******s who change their mind about leaving a job after someone else has already been hired to replace them. Bitch move.

Clearly Linda deserves a promotion or pay raise. How uncouth.
