got promoted today at work, sorta. they're cross training me in parts and as a service advisor. it doesn't come with a pay raise or anything but it does give me some authority over the same guys who trained me for my current position just a few weeks ago.

Linda officially has been hired on full time at BBB. We're grateful of course but she only got a whopping $0.20 per hour raise.

I'm happy to hear things are starting to look up, Chula!

I went to Lagoon and had a real blast. I flipped a lot of people off. I punked this dude for the red airplane. Got sexually harassed by a little boy. Mentally scarred one of the poor girls at the merch booths. Possibly exposed my self to a small child. But god damn was that a blast! Great time hanging out with friends getting to experience the thrills of the rides!

I'm gonna blow my ****ing brains out.

Linda hooked up with Sherri for a Mother's Day brunch. I guess Cora was happy to see her.

Quite a satisfying work day - quiet, with plenty of time to read and explore records I'd yet to spin, punctuated by brief challenges of IT problem-solving. All neatly framed in the company of a dear friend/coworker with whom I explored politics, socio-cultural impacts of emerging technology, a comparative cost/benefit analysis of a future post-scarcity leisure economy, automation and job displacement, a survey of educational systems around the world and their varying degrees of success, analog vs digital lifestyles, and the looming potential threats of general AI.

...and I dressed in disco.

Not a bad day by any measure!
