This is it. Tomorrow is the official move-out day for my ex-wife. She still needs to rent the storage unit and free moving truck that my friend and coworker offered her to facilitate her exit, but if all goes well I'll come home to a very empty house tomorrow after work.

A lot of mixed feelings here - this new chapter of my life will mean I'll be free from abuse for the first time in 9 years. I'm having to end 75 mutual friendships for my safety, and it'll be a lot quieter around here.

But I've got this.

How old are you? Your style might turn some women off at first glance. You may need to learn how to tone it down a bit until you feel comfortable enough after a few successful dates.

Yes, ISB, tone it down a bit.

I'm sure Boston white trash has invaluable advice on how someone like ISB should woo.

Good riddance to it all. Moving forward is always a great feeling even if it's a difficult adjustment.

I'm certainly in no hurry to jump into another relationship. Just expressing that this will significantly reduce my social contacts for a bit, and living alone will take some getting used to. But I'm rebuilding - making new friends and finding new intellectual peers.

The strange thing about it all is that women are talking to me… everywhere. (It’s as if they can smell that I’m single.) Again, I'm not jumping into anything straight away, but it is certainly nice to feel desired.

Thanks for your support, everyone. Everything's gonna be alright.

If you're still into him I don't see why he would mind you being gay and him being an exception.
I wouldn't.

is it gay, bi, or gay with him as the one exception? thats kinda important i guess. i feel like it could be whatever so long as you know you're still into him.
