I don't know if this is a common expression/joke but this killed me.

The big day. Walking my baby down the aisle. And then gotta sneak up on stage and play along to a pop-country love song with her new husband to surprise her. I'd forgotten what butterflies in the belly felt like.

I'm going to be meeting a vast majority of Scott's family tonight for the first time, which is adding to the pressure.

Thanks buds. Sherri had mentioned to Scott about a year ago that it would be cool to see both of us up on stage together.

We've been secretly cooking this up for about a month.

I don't come in until after about 45 seconds, so I'll have enough time to make it a complete surprise. Should be extremely cool if we pull it off.

Post video so I can mock one of your best memories.

Will do.

Worst part is that the guitar that Scott brought for me to play was not only the hands down heaviest LP I've ever played, but the strings had to be at least 20 years old, and the stool I had to sit on had my legs at an angle that made the guitar keep slipping out of my lap. (Scott forgot to bring a strap)

Best part? Not only was it a surprise for Sherri, but Scott didn't tell his drummer or bassist. Blew Sherri away. Blew his bandmates away. Blew the crowd away. Again, they started playing the song and about 30 seconds in I snuck on stage which only Scott, Linda, and Mike knew was going to happen.

Could not have gone over any better. Goosebumps all around.

Plus, simply an awesome wedding in every regard. It's after 3:00 AM and I'm still riding the high.

Pictures to follow.

EDIT: Couple of early FB shots.

Father daughter dance.

Trying to keep a 30 pound Les Paul from falling to the floor.
