It's not about who's worse, it's about who knew full well what they were perpetrating and who was just an ignoramus who had no real understanding.

Both extreme approaches (hero worship or hating them) are inhuman and miss the point of giving a **** about human life. Feel for the loss of American lives who died in a stupid war they shouldn't have been involved in, while being honest about the stupidity regardless of how it reflects on your soldiers, and feel for the loss of those they killed. There's really no other way without indulging in hate.

Kind of am already doing that. I already said that I don't think that they deserve what's inflicted on them yet they shouldn't be supported for being willing to inflict those horrors. You don't want war? You have to strip away the fetishism of troops first or else people will keep diving into the machine.

May just have to settle for magnet fishing.

Try Snooker.

I figured that's what you were saying, but with OH in the mix it kind of needs to be spelled out.

Ignorance is no excuse.

Every war drums up a ****ing reason.

It partially is. It doesn't make the human race look any better for being morons, but it is an excuse for not treating them as villains when they were just people being people.

People are ****.

I’m not going to show any compassion for veterans because I think every thing about war needs to be stigmatized. I stand with those who spit on them when they returned. The spitters were the heros. Hopefully someday there’s so much spit no one joins the next one.

How do you judge that? By morality invented by evolution to make it possible for us to cooperate? Morality is an illusion at worst, and at best it is as malleable as it needs to be to allow civilizations to do what they feel needs to be done regardless of morality. Humans aren't good or bad, they're as morally neutral as rocks.

Bruh, the same people who stayed at home and didn't fight in whatever war could have easily fought in that war. The people who spit on veterans probably are no better than the people they spit on, and if they see themselves differently than it's probably only because they have the good fortune to indulge their own self-righteousness having not had to make any hard decisions.

Better to just see the warfaring population as no different than the civilians, because they probably are no different.
