I think Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Return to Oz are the most recent Disney film I've seen. Sorry to disappoint.

Then forget what I said and make it your next thing to watch all of the Disney Renaissance films. Seriously, you're missing one of the great experiences of our generation. Just go watch The Little Mermaid and pick up from there if you have a mind to. It'll be the childhood you never realized you missed.

Seriously though you know nothing about Disney Renaissance movies and I feel like you're a deprived child.

TFW you just so happen to be listening one of the defining Disney song/scenes while you're typing this and so you post it cause Jesus **** everyone on earth needs it.

I preferred my wholesome child of the 80s upbringing - comprised of the permanent mental scarring of the nightmare sequence from The Brave Little Toaster, half of Watership Down, and the brilliantly dark underworld of The Secret of NIMH for my childhood indoctrination.

Shut up, stop considering this a gentle rec, and go watch The Little Mermaid. If we part ways at this point then I'll always think less of you. It's The ****ing Little Mermaid. There's no way you won't be at least intrigued because there are no movies like late 80s-90s Disney. Even Disney had nothing to compare before or after.

Brave Little Toaster > all of Disney

The Batlord 02-13-2018 05:20 PM

Sunofabitch I haven't seen that so I can't tell you to go **** yourself but you know full well that Gaston is ****ing you up the ass right now and you like it.

Oriphiel 02-13-2018 05:24 PM

Mister Oogie Boogie > Gaston

Those alien guys from Lilo and Stitch > Gaston

That bad CGI face from Tron > Gaston

On principle, Batty I don't torrent Disney content... experimental record label archives are one thing but there are just too many eyes on the corporate stuff for me to feel comfortable even with precautions in place.

There's only one way I'd have access to their catalog. *Heads to a thrift store in search of clamshell VHS tapes and a CRT+VCR combo console*

That's stupid. Unless you think they're going to invade your thoughts without wearing a tinfoil hat then calm the **** down and watch **** you want to watch. There are ways to torrent **** that keep your ISP secret, so shut up and quit with the bull****. Your principles are probably just arbitrary tbh.

Oh but if you can just get physical copies of he movies then I'll still roll my eyes at you, but at least you'll still have access to some of he best movies ever made. So do that.

Everything is worth watching to form an opinion on, even ICP'S movies. Don't limit yourself just because you've recognized a preference. In order to recognize good, we must also know evil or something cerebral to that effect.

Plus, even if they are overrated, Disney films are a big enough cultural touchstone to justify watching them. I think The Batlord is way too into it and I don't think that any of them with the exception of Fantasia would be meaningful to you, but I think that the bigger Disney films are something that you should be aware of. Also, if you do end up getting into any, you'll weep tears of joy on all of the merch to geek out on.
