That does sound like an awesome job btw. Consider yourself highly lucky. I don't care what I got paid, I'd work at an independent record store with actual culture for whatever the **** they felt like paying me and hold onto that job with my teeth.

I definitely loved Dust the first few times I heard it, and I'm sure quite liked whatever else I listened to, but I seem to remember the last time I listened to it I thought that it was a better version of post-grunge adult contemporary schlock that could never be anything more than alright. Should I rediscover or what?

No. Just being aware of it is enough. They were pretty bland. Lanegan solo is better.

I took first place in a disc golf tournament today. What a battle too. Rain and windy for the first round, then just friggin gale force winds for the second. I won by one. I earned that **** today.

It's not so much doing what I love as doing what I hate in a genre I hate less than fast food. I have to assume that makes a difference, at least in that I'll end up hating it less than a lifetime of Burger King. And I'm not trying to own my own record store.

One of the hardest fought rounds I've played. 30-50 mph gusts. Putting was a nightmare. Imagine this, but with (as Forrest Gump would say) little bitty stangin rain:
