What exactly did you say? Her friend might be a busybody and your mom might be too self-conscious to contradict her and look like a parent who lets her kid walk all over her, but if you and your mother call each other "cunt" and "faggot" or something then yeah maybe that's best left between the two of you.

We legit do this type of **** with people around all the time. She has no right to call me out on it when she doesn't understand the joke side to it. I don't feel like I did anything wrong since my mom literally is the most dysfunctional mom you could possibly ask for. She swears at us constantly and has done so when we were kids. So don't tell me that I should listen to my mom when she legit has done so much worse verbally than you could imagine.

So no, I don't think I'm in the wrong.

Her guest should mind her own business. I’m with you there. But your mom has the right to backtrack on the open display of y’all’s oddness.

But you did the right thing not pushing it any further or telling the guest where to stick it. Giving them their space was the move.
