I don't even think people should be necessarily doing time for drink driving though. Repeat offenders yes but the conviction, court case and financial costs are enough for a first time offender depending on the severity of the offence imo.

Going to jail for driving without insurance even if you crash is ridiculous especially if it's a first offence.

Edit: oh really it's driving while intoxicated??? That changes it a bit.

JTF - was there damage to property besides your own?

It was a pole underneath a bridge. Probably not that much, my car took most of the damage, and the damage wasn't THAT much to my car anyways. Although I did have to take it to a body shop and get it repaired.

Nope. I have insurance. I was intoxicated. Not by drugs, by alcohol. I hear a DUI is when you're fucked on drugs, rather than booze. I could be wrong.

insurance is for pussies anyway

I don’t drink and drive and haven’t for decades. Jftr

But I think driving sober is pretty much just as selfish.
Right now I’m carless but once I get a little scratch together I’ll buy another clunker. Driving is unethical drunk or sober but walking to work in this heat - fuuuuuck

You’re just anti-hawk recently
