Yeah, I've considered the emotional toll. I've wanted to get into social work forever though, I've got the whole "CPS failed me as a child so now I have to fix the system from within as my lifes work" thing going on. I think I can compartmentalize fairly well. This position is like social work lite tho, mainly focused on getting kids into preschools. And I havent been offered the job yet so dont jinx it.

just got the news that my great-grandma Osako broke up with her boyfriend of the past 12 years bc his health started failing and she didnt want to spend the rest of her life taking care of him. "it was just for fun," she said of their relationship.
