I've sat through enough racist dog**** from my relatives at Thanksgiving and Christmas that I can understand when you can't take it anymore and need to say something. I don't think it will necessarily mean anything but at a certain point saying nothing becomes bile in your throat. I won't judge standing up for what you believe in when you hear so much dog****.

1. You make it clear that the effect on you makes a difference on how willing you are to snitch. Should I trust that you wouldn't snitch on me if we're friends but not snitching would seriously harm you? It doesn't sound like I should trust you then.

2. Whether or not you're friends with the person they still need that job to eat. Would you starve a person to death if it benefited you? The only reason I think it would be ethical to snitch is if that person is a snitch who is endangering other people's jobs and snitching removes that danger.

Don't worry Mindfullness, I get where your coming from fam. When your in a good working environment and you got bad faith actors, they aren't gonna stick around long. I'd say snitching is a last resort kinda thing though. People should always have a chance to get their ducks in a row if confronted about something going on. 2nd chances and all that.
