I do the sun salutation every morning! And also the moon salutation before bed :)

didn't sound dirty enough but I'm sure my mind can come up with visuals to match.

Yesterday was a barge full of drama between friends for me and having to switch between all of them doing damage control.

Saw the best rainbow this afternoon. Usually rainbows look like they're on the horizon but today it was like in the foreground. A bright, double arch and I could see where both ends touched the ground a couple of hundred metres away.

If you could see both ends touch the ground why didn't you head for it?

Do you NOT like pots of gold?

Well, I'm back from my Florida vacation. It was great, up until I lost my camera in the condominium lobby and then presumably had it taken by someone. The of only did I lose one of the two nice things I own, but I also lost a ton of great pictures of my summer that I hadn't uploaded yet. And now I'm not going to be able to take any pictures of my last three months in Nicaragua when I go back in two weeks. Kinda sucks. :/

Ohhhhh man that sucks. Damn. Obviously you care more about the pictures than the camera itself - the camera can be replaced but not the pics :(

My mom went on a tour of New England with a couple of friends last year. She lost her camera in New Hampshire at the end of her trip.

That's why you should be taking pics on your cell phone. I have my cell set up to back up my pics after I take them .

It really sucks that you lost it though. Not only the past pics but you won't be able to take future ones.

I got a promotion at work yesterday, making me the highest paid employee at my restaurant. To celebrate we went and ate lunch at this fancy bar on the water, it was nice.

I would, but I don't have a smart phone... and I've had my cell for so many years it's on the verge of just giving up any day now.

before it gives up, write down all your contacts or else you will be screwed.

Or you might be in luck if it has one of those old chips.

I fought the smartphone for a while but it turns out it is the best piece of technology I have ever gotten aside from my laptop. I use its features on a daily basis. yesterday for instance I was going on a trip to help my sister move into her new apartment and had never been anywhere in that area so I used my phone gps to navigate. The kicker is since I ride a motorcycle I was able to hook it up to headphones and have my music automatically pause when the bitch gave me directions.

It is amazing how smart the phones really are now. God bless the open code that allows app makers to do whatever the **** they want.

Blarobbarg 08-18-2013 07:38 PM

Exciting update! My parents, completely unexpectedly bought me a brand new camera! Apparently it was on markdown at Walmart or something! Nothing will replace the old pictures I've lost, but now I can take pictures in Nicaragua for my last three months! :D

I love my parents, they're so great.

Also, my phone does have a SIM card, so even if it dies I'll be good.

yeah smart phones are so amazing. I love them. Also another neat app for when you are in a place that you don't know is Field Trip. It marks landmarks of historical places near by that you can visit, also cool restaurants/museums to check out and whatever else you want. Bars the whole nine yards.

Yeah SIM card. I couldn't remember that name for the life of me. Phones pretty much don't use them anymore well newer smart phones anyways. I love having my pics auto-back up to google+ when I take them. So if I lose my phone. Voila- pics are already saved on the interwebs and they are private. They don't get shared until I want to share them.

Also grats on the new camera! Be more careful with this one will ya! :P

Just got my car back. It was stuck 45 min away in Altizer, WV. Got there, called Triple A. Battery was dead, but the shaky issue I've been experiencing in the past week or so? Broken engine mount. WAY cheaper to fix than I was thinking.

Plankton 08-19-2013 07:23 AM

Played a show on Saturday in the woods (which was a bit surreal, but fun!), then went to the Air and Water show with 1.7 million of my closest friends on Sunday. Busy weekend and now it's back to the grind.

What exactly is an Air and Water show?

I was in an African American parade on Saturday and helped pass out some flyers socialized a bit then that was pretty much the end of my Saturday. I used the rest of the weekend to chillax and get some much needed rest from a super busy week.

imagine if the blue angels and a bunch of f-4 tomahawk missile carrying fighter jets roared around downtown chicago for like 25 minutes and then there were some aircraft carriers just chilling in the lake too.

That's pretty cool. I've never been to one and didn't know they were called that but I did know of them.

Makes sense though.

Album of the Week: Stream 'Drumgasm,' From Pearl Jam's Matt Cameron, Sleater-Kinney's Janet Weiss, and Death Grips' Zach Hill | SPIN | SPIN Mix | Premieres

I just want to place this ****ing stream right here for you fine folks to listen to. As a drummer, and a lover of the avant garde, I am in awe.

Frownland 08-19-2013 09:44 PM

Today was my first day back at school, and little eventful happened apart from me liking my professors and making acquaintances with classmates. When I got home from class, I checked my email and found out that my band is going to be reviewed (for the very first time) by an online music review website! Hopefully this will increase our (pretty much inexistant) fanbase and give the group an outside perspective on our tunes. I am super excited for what they have to say about "Indecent Vibrations".

The only drag that I came across today was finding out that I cannot go to the Dick Dale concert I was planning on seeing on Saturday because he changed his venue and the age limit is now 21+ as opposed to 18+. Fuck.

It was the first time I've been to one myself, and I've lived here for 46 years. The GF and me were talking about it and realized we didn't take any pictures because we were just in awe the whole time. Her from the planes, and me from the 3 chicks in bikinis sitting in front of us on the beach.

Nah didn't see a report thread made. I would have just deleted it anyways. And thanks, it's the first thing I thought of

That Tapatalk update is going to take a while to learn. I got it when they released it a couple of days ago, and only just figured out how to quote. They're going to have to work on the moderation tools because I haven't seen any so far except for "Ban User". Ugh. Looks like they'll be getting an email from me haha. They still have some bumps to work out.

ladyislingering 08-20-2013 07:36 PM

well, these past two days have basically been a day for me.

yesterday I woke up at 5AM after having been asleep for 3 hours, worked in a temp position at a warehouse from 7-3, walked 2 miles to my regular job and worked there until 7PM. Then I had to wait an extra hour for my bus because it had been early and I'd missed my transfer by like 2 minutes. Shortly before my bus arrived, a very drunk dude called me "Goldilocks" when he was looking for a cigarette and proceeded to chat me up through the duration of my bus ride.

I was pretty flustered by the time I got home (around 10PM), then Ki and I headed over to his parents' because we're cat-sitting for the week. In short, by the time I fell asleep I'd been awake for 20 consecutive hours. I woke up 4 hours later to finish up my job assignment, came back over to check on the cat, who didn't want to go outside, so I thought 'whatever, I'll come back later'. So I came back, then realized I didn't have keys for the house, and spent 20 minutes trying to break into the house with a credit card.

I'm in the dining room.

I'm so tired I'm not sure if I'm even still awake or just imagining all this stuff in a dream.

LOL just watched it again with the sound on. Only saw the visual the other day. That's funny because I've heard it many times in Pocket God when the pygmies freak out over the rainbow you've made. Never got the reference until now.
