I'm super ****ing drunk so I usually hold my tongue on this, but OH is college educated and used to be a teacher and some how ****ed his own life up so bad that he still winded up in the same exact position that you are in so I NEVER take his life advice and outlook on life too seriously.

Still love OH though and hope he finds some kind of solace.

I like the philosophy that elph shared where are identity is something we sculpt.

Anybody that's grown up knows how much you change and continue to sculpt your identity from what it was. Some people just never have to grow up though, whether it's stubbornness or privilege.

Megachurch. People who tell me there aren't opportunities and things you can do, everything sucks, etc. are people who just haven't really looked or tried to reach out. It's a pride issue, not a "y0ur pri1veleged" issue. A ****ty internet connection at a library and Facebook is literally all you need these days to connect with communities, people, etc. who can and will open up doors for you.

Some people don't like hearing how accountable they are for their lives. As much as I agree with the idea that capitalism is an evil, unhealthy and dehumanizing system that oppresses us I know that we're still afforded the ability to do, be or find something better despite what ever is working against us.

What advice?

Ftr - overcame a ****ed childhood, put myself through college (listed in Forbes top 50), travelled around the world (Europe and Asia), cruised into a teaching gig, got tenure, did it for a decade and then slipped. It all happens by circumstance. You don’t earn good things. You don’t cause bad things. It just happens to you.

What kind of great **** are you going to make happen?

I mean if you still find meaning in the world and a reason to hope for a better life then that's great. I don't. I'm sure I could do plenty of things to make my life better. I just don't care enough to do anything but avoid all that ****.

Your advice was pay $25 for some fraudulent job seeker **** or be a telemarketer in rural Texas. I mean ****ing please just stop.

Why in the world would you want to stay home and help your mom emotionally and financially when you could be fine dining with the excellent company you could keep at a halfway house? Get out there and fight!
