I just saw one of my neighbors, one of the ones that keeps her dog in her fenced yard or on a leash, call her dog an ******* and hit with a stick for barking. My neighbors are the worst dog owners. I mean wtf? That particular dog, which is a big dog btw, barks almost constantly. I can hear it when I watch tv. Here’s the thing. If you own a dog you have to praise it everyday just for sitting around being chill. It shouldn’t be a chore. That’s why you got a dog to have something to love on. But if your dog is acting chill and gets rewarded the dog will learn to be chill. Some dogs might have the wrong genetic disposition or whatever by 99% of the time that’s it. If you’re going to ignore your dog or not keep it safe don’t get one. And you gotta love your dog everyday for its entire life. That’s the dog-human contract.
