let the people who actually LIKE him memorize his poems, and let me memorize songs i like u damned english teacher....
That's how I felt in high school English. I hated having poetry shoved down my throat and being forced to write poetry.

As soon as I dropped English, I developed an appreciation for Virgil's Aeneid in my Latin class and began reading some other poetry. This is because, being an artform, poetry is something which shouldn't be force-fed and isn't something that you can squeeze out of someone.

And so now I enjoy poetry, but I do consider Latin poetry to be superior to English poetry. It's much more complex and interesting - there are so many intricacies.

i'm pretty sure i WOULD enjoy it if my teacher didnt spend the whole damned period ranting about how brilliant the artists were then and how dumb they are now.

i'm about halfway through memorizing it...

I went to work saturday and got forced into single-handedly setting up a TV wall display. Over half a dozen LCD's and plasma ranging from 32''-52''. It took me like 8 hours but it looks damn sweet, but no so much as a thank you from management. That's working at Wal-Mart for ya.

Just got a fuckin 110 dollar ticket for not displaying my N on my car. I was driving like fuckin 5 minutes to the school to grab my basketball shoes..and I took my mom's car cause it was warm cause she just drove it..and I didnt even think about putting my N on her car cause it was so close...ends up I went through a road block..and I hate cops. So many of my friends have gone through roadblocks without their Ns and they say they forgot. I actually had a pretty valid excuse. God damn. 110 bucks..thats like a speeding ticket!

In Canada...when you are a "new" driver. Which is what you get after your learners. You have to display an N on the back of your vehicle. Its just a little magnetic green square.
