I'm not gonna pretend like I don't have that kernel of homophobia in me that at least every Southerner has but I'm also not gonna pretend that when I saw a jogger dude today wearing butthugging spandex American flag pants that my leftist snowflake kernel didn't catch eyes with that homophobic kernel and nod in solidarity.

I ended up getting pissed at being overworked and speaking my mind yesterday, came home and drank more. I don't like getting upset and talking back, makes me feel like a ****ty person incapable of dealing with stress.

I mean the stressors in society are typically institutionalized oppression.
Coming to terms with death and aging and the stress that brings is praiseworthy. Holding down a job or paying for school and buying or renting a house, all those economic and cultural duties - with those dealing with the stress, unless you’re directly challenging the social structure either with violence, civil disobedience, or organized determined pacifistic defiance, is cowardly submission. Every time you show up on time, smile and fake your way through your shift or your classes or whatever is being forced upon you - the coping mechanism is acceptance and submission. In other words, cowardice.

Finally got the unemployment that I filed for in March. Been doing random freelance **** to keep me afloat but damn it feels good to not be on the verge of homelessness anymore. It's also my bday.
