Be told as you're about to take your dinner that she's "had an accident" and then have to clean her up and then come talk to me about pressure with your machines and your irate customers.

You guys don't know how good you have it.

The patron saint of humility over here. Does the good deed count as altruism if you never stop talking about it?

[For the sensitive and/or those who would be all “yeah sure say something offensive and then call it a joke” - THIS IS A JOKE AND HAS BEEN SINCE ITS INCEPTION DONT @ ME GOD THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED]

I have been an offensive joke since my inception and I find this sensitive

My step-dad did the same for my Mom for 13 years, but she was basically a vegetable that could still walk around and had the cognitive skills of a 3 month old baby after a grand mal seizure and then subsequent coma for a few months. I helped out as much as I could but dam thats rough. Love'll make you do some unimaginable things. Much respect to you, Mr. Awesomeness.

Wow. That's dedication!
Seriously, I try not to go on about it because, at its heart, it's what I think I should probably be expected to do. She is my sister after all, and I do love her (even if somedays I might be secretly planning where to bury the body!) so what else would I do? It was just listening to people bitching about their jobs made me think they don't know how hard it can be.

I have the utmost respect for people who a) look after someone they aren't related to or b) look after more than one person or c) look after someone who is mentally incapacitated or old to the point of senility. What those people do makes my job seem ludicrously easy in comparison.

(I'm still awesome though!) :D

This morning I pulled an OH. I'll leave you to interpret that.
