there are lots of words in French that are the same as in English
i.e. Ridicule, Optimism,Zest..Rich...Variety all good meaningful words...Valid also....Restaurant, Sentiment...Soup, , Similar..yes we can all get by, now we are bi-lingual ....just them damn local dialects that get you into trouble...
