Especially when even that one thing wasn't actually bull****. He thought of that statement as bull**** because of his own views on the world. While "bull****" is something that refers to facts.

It's either naive or dishonest to frame opportunity for the beaten down as the oppression of the privileged or "exactly the same" as capitalist oppression though. Saying "bull****" is just a more direct way of saying that you're ignoring facts that make your statements untrue.

If you describe Soviet-style social engineering as offering "opportunity for the beaten down" then it's not Mucha who's ignoring the facts. If we're talking in the abstract, then yes, "opportunity for the beaten down" is a perfectly nice idea.
