It's network monitoring with a focus on packet capture which basically means examining each bit of data that passes through a network. So detecting P2P traffic is only one application of it (and a mostly trivial one I'd say). I think this company deals with bigger and more complex things like security on massive networks and forensic analysis.

He just designs the software for a company and they sell it so other companies but he won't tell me who...I suspect the government...lol...he gets paid a load of cash that is all I really know...He won't even tell me the name of his company.
