Didnt realize liking Linkin Park was a death sentence here. I should've known, really. I've been here a while.

No it's always been that way. I rarely bring up LP here because of it. I only talk about them now since Mindy has joined and had no idea that you liked them as well.

All nu metal bands got you crucified for mentioning them in the past.

Bruh comes in to condescend ICP fans then cries about being condescended for being a Linkin Park fan. XD

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Linkin Park is definitely better than a lot of nu metal contemporaries. But System of a Down is better than them all, even if they weren't ever really a nu-metal band.

First time I ever heard Linkin Park was last time in the Album Club. Loved the album. I suppose that gives them the kiss of death then: Trollheart likes you = you suck?

I think I remember back in the day I got made fun of because in my last.fm signature thing it showed that I listened to Linkin Park.

It's all good though. If people don't wanna listen to good music, that's on them.

I think I rarely talk about LP for the same reason which is probably why you didn't know I liked them. I enjoy Meteora the most as you know.

Linkin Park has some cringe moments in their early videos and the way they made some songs. Lots of bands have cringe material on how time moves on and styles change. But Linkin Park evolved with the times, they moved on to Minutes To Midnight which was NOT cringe in 2007 and it was good music. Then with Living Things, they moved towards an electronic dubstep sound in 2012 (because dubstep was popular at that time = not cringe). They went further into dubstep with their remix album called (Recharged), it's still to this day 10 years later an amazing album.

Then in 2014 the band went backward and created a really good rock-sounding album sort of back to heavy songs (The Hunting Party). Nothing cringe about The Hunting Party album still. But then comes the part where I DO think the band is a total cringe-fest with their latest album that was pop-sounding in 2017 (One more light), that album sucked a lot. I still listen to the band a lot. In 2023 more than in other years because I have been sort of finding what bands I am going to listen to and like for the remaining years of my life and Linkin Park is one of them since I grew up jamming to their songs.
