Today, a teacher I respect rightfully challenged my approach to a class that I was particularly skilled (computer graphics, photoshop) and I realized that although I have a lot of skills and talents, it's unfair to not allow others to develop the skill simply because I had already developed it. Even with that blow to my "knowledge" (Which, I feel in my environment is greater than others but in comparison to the world, nothing) atleast he gave me the compliment of discerning his seriousness about the subject. (He is one of the most sarcastic people on the planet. Seriously) I'm appreciative of him pointing this out because now I know to be less of an ******* in class, and even though I'm fully aware of it and know I'm doing it and I'm not doing it as an ego boost or to put others down, i can be perceived as insensitive and such. Woohoo.

It's what happens when you're waiting for your school semester to start, and you work as often as a worldwide recession allows.

I also thought I posted that in the "says something positive" thread -_-

Holy **** a snowday in kewlzville!

Anyway. Tuesday night I got diagnosed with Von Willenbrand Disease. Awesome. Don't know what type I am yet. Have an appt. with a blood specialist soon to figure all that stuff out, and a long-term treatment plan. Fun stuff. Explains why I'm abnormally tired all the time. It says it's inherited from one's parents in most cases, and I got cluster headaches from my dad... but I doubt he has "heavy menstrauls" and I think I would've noticed him having chronic nosebleeds. My mom probably has it, she won't get checked though.

Tell me - what is it like in kewlsville?

Today I get to miss my morning classes because I have to go in for an ultrasound to see if my cysts are back. Possibility I'll miss my afternoon one's too, on account of my mother has abnormally strong leg-pain and might go to the ER after. Or maybe she'll just be nice :p.

(I swear, I have never met a person my age with so many physical ailments.)

lucifer_sam 03-06-2009 07:37 AM

you ever considered it might be something else like hypochondria?

Wifey Boozer 03-06-2009 12:38 PM

Not after they diagnose it, no.
