Jealous, I woke up this morning and didn't enjoy a first day of really hot, gross summery wind. I hate summer and I wish it wasn't on its way.

yeah, can't say I'm looking forward to winter.. but at least I'll be able to sleep comfortably again.

So this morning when I was rushing around trying to get everything together for school I stubbed my toe on my stereo and sliced the top of it open. It was bleeding like a bitch but I was going to be late so I threw some gauze over it and left. The walk to class was unbearable, but I managed. now I'm sitting at home on hold with the doctors office trying to make an appointment to close up the cut.

Haven't done an awful lot today, but I did go to a silent rave last night, which was bags of fun. Sure, most of the music was very commercial and very lame, but it was worth it just to take off the headphones once in a while and watch everyone looking like a bunch of morons dancing to silence

It's a good laugh at least. You just get a pair of wireless headphones from the DJs and you get to flick between sets, muck about with the volume and so on. It would've been good if, like just about every bloody DJ in most clubs you'll ever walk into, they didn't think stuff like Queen, Tenacious D and Sum 41 belonged on a dance floor.

aw i went to one a while back. it was meant to be at Glasgow Central Station but so many people were going to turn up it got cancelled as a safety hazard & moved to George Square in Glasgow. as you say takin your headphones off everyonce in a while watching everyone dance to nothing was great

the silent rave i was at you just took your own mp3. so everyone was dancing at different beats and to different genres.

I'd imagine it's better if you get to take your own MP3. It's all a bit limited when you're all dancing to the same 2 stations through earphones - very 1984 y'know.
