ST and MM are both local so I knew them beforehand and went for them but Mannequin Pussy blew me away as well. We talked to Karl (drummer/vocalist from MM) for like 30 minutes before the show waiting for the door guy to get there and then a few more minutes after buying merch from his stand and ****. He was the coolest ****ing dude and I talked to him about when his band toured with Mewithoutyou, Teen Suicide, and Say Anything a while ago and he was super excited telling me about it cause he loved all those bands and grew up listening to Mewithoutyou. The energy through all the shows was incredible and the pit during Museum Mouth was awesome. Karl sold me a shirt for $5 and tickets were $6. Indie shows are THE BEST. Plus this one guy we met told us about a house show venue near the university that I was previously unaware of so that's a place I could play shows at soon as well as see free **** at. It was a pretty rad night.
What would Pearl Jam think?

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I met Steve Osborne today. He's an ex NYPD officer who now writes books about his experiences. I've heard him on NPR a lot and he also tells stories on The Moth. Dude randomly stopped by the store today and was kind enough to sign some books. I bought one. It was this one...

He didn't expect me to know who he was but I honestly thought his stories on the radio were interesting. Cool guy.

Bad day. Neighbors a few doors down had to finally put their dog down after 15 years. We've been here for 18 so we've known her the whole time. Just got to say goodbye. It was time. She's lost a lot of weight and wasn't eating or having control. Still pretty damn spry for a 105 year old - tail started wagging as soon as she saw me.

Party in dog heaven tonight!

There is no dog heaven. You're fooling yourself.
