I'd waited patiently for T2: Trainspotting to see it in the theatre proper. The January 22nd UK premiere came and went and I learned that we wouldn't get it stateside for another several months.

March 17th arrived and I thought, "great - this weekend, I'll have a go."

Now I've discovered that it won't be showing in my city.

I give up. I couldn't pay to see it even if I wanted to. Downloading a DVD screener to enjoy it in the comfort of my own home.

I knew a chick who thought thunder was the sound of clouds crashing into mountains.

Last week my dad asked me what a mantle was.

**** **** **** **** ****

Linda just called me balling her eyes out. Couple weeks back she landed a full time job real close to home for $5 more than minimum wage and full health insurance benefits. She'd been working part time for now training and was scheduled to go full time April 1st. She loved the job too.

The chick she was replacing changed her mind and decided to stay on so Linda was let go. Back to part time, zero benefits, and minimum wage at a retail store. And we have to keep spending $500 a month for her ****ty insurance.

First good thing to happen to us the past couple of years and it just got ripped away.

Same thing happened to my mom a while back, and she's been in dire straights as well, and this was just as much of a **** you. Kinda hate *******s who change their mind about leaving a job after someone else has already been hired to replace them. Bitch move.

Clearly Linda deserves a promotion or pay raise. How uncouth.

Had second band practice today. If the first practice wasn't telling enough, the second one only cemented the fact that I ran into a winning situation. Our second guitarist was able to show up today (we have two guitarists, a bassist, and a vocalist that also plays guitar but wants to do vocals solely for most of the time (he sounds like ****ing Tom Verlaine on the guitar it's ridiculous)) and AS IT SO TURNS OUT he works for WKNC (the college station I'm so fond of), which means we now have contacts with venues, local bands, recording studios...

On top of that, after practice tonight we all hung out till 9 seeing locals bands playing at NC State and Schookids Records that he had been obligated to attend. ****ing awesome day. Best in a while.

Oh, and at practice we played a bunch of Joyce Manor, Wavves, and Cloud Nothings covers, along with originals. These guys have an ear, I'll tell ya. They all like pretty much the same variety as me and they're all awesome dudes who are great with their instruments. I'm very excited for what's next here.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.
