I bet you're on some agency's radar as well.

Only one part of the point. Why are you jumping into financial decisions together only seven months after your she ditched you to go to Arizona? That does not sound like a pillar of stability and I have a hard time believing that seven months has been enough time to deal with issues that torpedoed a four decade marriage.

Woke up feeling like I really just wanna call out, crawl into bed, and not come out. Dreading going into work today because either my boss understands my side of the story of what the customer said happened yesterday, or he's siding with the customer. My anxiety is out of control this morning. Gonna smoke and hopefully just mindlessly breeze through the day.

Either way, 2 employees were present at the time, and myself and my coworker both agree that the lady completely lied in multiple parts of her complaint. I wrote that in the note I left my boss so I guess we'll see.

Hey, worst case, I just look for another job.

You've been aware of what our marriage has had to endure during my time here:

1. A schizophrenic son who would pit us against each other during conflicts. Stress. Stress.

2. The company we'd worked at together for 18 years got shafted and almost destroyed as a result. Linda lost a great job at solid pay and it took six months for her to find another job, which she hated. Stress, stress, stress.

3. Linda and I worked closely together for 2.5 years digging up and organizing 10s of thousands of various documents to support our lawsuit which at one point was about to be settled for $16 million. We would have gotten 7% of that ($1.2 million). At the last minute the law firm found an obscure California business loophole which resulted in our contract being tossed.

We got nothing out of it except a garage full of stacks of paper. Stress. Stress. Stress.

4. Linda never liked me having a gun in the house, especially since I was drinking too much - mainly as a result of #2 and #3.

5. Yes. Menopause didn't help at all in her making the rash decision she did.

6. During the 6 months she was in AZ we spoke constantly on the phone and got together every time she was in town to see the kids. And since she's been back in SD we've hung out often either at her place or mine.

7. I've been at her place for the past week 24/7 and it's like putting on a broken in pair of jeans after not wearing them for a while. Feels like we never skipped a beat except that now there's no extreme stress stuff hanging over us.

8. Since the 5150 (talk about a wake up call) my drinking is way down. I don't drink to get hammered anymore and it feels awesome. I'm also going to sell the gun once I get it back. Mike's been doing awesome for the past year, loves his job up in Sonora country, and his company loves him and are utilizing all of his talents. I've never seen the kid happier (as an adult).

9. In just over a month Linda and I will become first time grandparents. We want to be together for many reasons and this is one of the big ones.

10. The $1,000 offer is still on the table. (P.S. 7 months is actually a pretty long separation)

I guess my opinion stems from the fact that my own parents have separated multiple times throughout my life and they're still together. And they almost can't stand each other half the time. Sometimes it's better to be separated and not together. But every situation is different. I just have not seen any success in my parents relationship after separating multiple times and still being married. Not saying it never happens. I've just seen it not happen.
