The difference being that they're pointing to a form of oppression they've actually faced, and people of their community still face. Even if it hasn't prevented them specifically from becoming rich.

Where as when white men are victims over affirmative action or Christians are victims about being 'persecuted for their religion'.... That's more what I meant.

Word. I completely agree. Some Christians will throw a hissy fit if you say Happy Holidays.

I suspect an absentee father is somehow why I prefer to play female characters in video games. So **** deadbeat dads and all who apologize for them.

I know my father fairly well actually, I've mentioned it briefly before: he doesn't feel like a father, just an acquaintance. In that capacity I get along with him, I don't excuse his desicion at all but I don't feel any personal grudge. I've been fortunate with my weird little family of women, I never felt deserted by him. The funny thing is that I take after him so it's very weird to see parts of yourself strongly mirrored in someone you aren't close too

or, the brightside version of that is that deadbeat dads are inadvertently contributing to diversity in video game characters
