Pretty sure his Mom already cleaned that out, but hey, stuff a few plates of mac and cheese and a hot pocket or two down his gullet and we'll have a fresh batch lickety split.

I'll get the guac ready.

I can't stand onions. In any form. Which makes dining in a country like mine (poland), where every single menu item contains onions (well, exaggerating a bit, but only a bit) a real chore.
I can't really hate on my country food though, as I could devour an unlimited amount of Pierogi, especially with stuffing inspired by pizza In fact, I plan to get some later today, 5x 100gram (big) baked pierogi with "capriciosa" (ham, cheese, mushrooms + herbs) stuffing.. for 6$ or so. Yay.

My day to day eating habits are fairly boring despite being completely and utterly obsessed with food. An average day involves a salad wrap, a baked sweet potato, a piece of fruit and some granola or cheese or something.

I have a stomach of steel and could probably eat nothing but garbage if I so desired (I still have a decent metabolism) but the smallest things send me into a food coma. Basically anything starchy will do it even if it's just a single sandwich. Or oatmeal or a potato, even. It's so incredibly annoying because I'll feel utterly drained and exhausted for the next 2 hours even if what I ate was reasonably healthy. (Which is exactly why that whole eating several tiny healthy meals throughout the day that everybody and their mother recommends doesn't work out for me. The less often I eat, the more energy I have.)

Being Danish, I of course eat enormous quantities of rye bread. It's such a normal thing here that you just take it for granted. Just like basic pasta, boiled potatoes or rice. You put on various meats (pork, cow, fish) and usually something on top af that too, like onion rings, cucumber slices or a bit of mayo, ketchup or whatever. You can really put on just about anything, but of course specific combinations are traditional.

The pictures above are a bit more lavish than I will bother making it on a normal boring weekday, but it's still good. Since you can vary it so much, I never get tired of it. The bread is super healthy too.

It's cheap too, since the rye bread itself can easily be bought in very cheap but still decent variants and the same goes for some decent things to put on top. The less money I have, the more I eat this.

This evening I got so lazy and had so little food in my closets that I just ate string spaghetti with ketchup so i could have a warm meal. I put on some chili and garlic to make it less dull.

That sucks. I'm lucky that it takes a pretty big meal to knock me out and send me to the couch for a nap. Too much white bread and sugar is worse though. I'm trying to make myself stop eating things like chocolate, candy and cookies, because it really messes with my energy levels and seems to affect my mood too.

Rye bread with smoked salmon, cream cheese and chives is the best.

I'm assuming caffeine/coffee affects you negatively too? I need to cut out all those things as well but I'm too attached to my twice daily coffee routine. Sugar is easier to get rid of I think.

I actually did cut out coffee successfully for a couple weeks. But I started again a week or two ago and I'm even drinking half a can of it now. It really messes up my sleep. Why must all the worst things taste so good?
I do eat a lot less sugar than I used to. I find that after having eaten a lot less for a while, it's actually sort of repulsive to me in larger amounts.

Bruh, that's repulsive. Even I would never be reduced to spaghetti and ketchup. Makes me wanna throw up tbh.

I'd prefer better food too, but I decided to save some money... I can eat just about anything if I'm hungry. Oatmeal with milk is another great way to be a cheapass and have a full meal.
