i thought the title said crying at first and i was going to suggest you find a new job maybe

The Batlord 06-30-2016 05:40 PM

Duuuuude. That's cool. You should wear an American flag like a cape while you bike through there.

Key 06-30-2016 05:42 PM

I really like these photos. You should try to get a GoPro and attach it to your helmet so we can see what the bike route is like in video form.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 06-30-2016 05:43 PM

Looks like a pretty cool place to ride through. How long does it take you to get from home to work?

Stop asking so many questions. Jesus, what are you, his mother?

Me being a dick aside, that is lovely. And I too would love to see the go pro footage if you ever decide to spend the money and do that.

All of the letters in an abbreviation should be capitalized.

If I'm his mother then your mom is gay and you two are about to be step-siblings.

Lol is not an abreviation. It's an acronym.

That's really beautiful part of the city. Tokyo is really high on my list of places I want to visit.

It's a lovely route to cycle, at least on that part. I biked it to meet Sir at work the other day--he'd forgotten his ID, and as aliens we're required to have our papers on us at all times--and that part was great.

The rest ... not so much.

Tokyo has pretty parts, but overall it is an ugly, ugly city.

And I volunteer to be your step-sibling, Sir!

The Batlord 06-30-2016 07:08 PM

TFW you go to Tokyo and the guy showing all the best party spots is mordwyr.

That's surprising to hear you say. It's always seemed to me like it would be one of the most beautifully urban cities on the planet.

Is that kind of like Hawaii. Cause the beaches are beautiful. But the neighborhoods feel like Crack dens.

What sorts of things do you find aesthetically appealing in a city?

I rarely think about things.

Even if you can't explain the reasons, can you give me an example of something that is appealing to you versus something that isn't?

That's actually not particularly ugly to me—I've alway liked things with sort of an industrial look to them—but I can see why someone else might find it ugly.

Okay, the main ugliness of Tokyo, in my opinion, is that there's no space to bury power lines. So every neighborhood street looks like this:

I think we can agree that that's juts ugly. It ****s up the scenery when there's something beautiful beyond.

Like, you can't even enjoy a view of Mt. Fuji:

I feel like this is what happens if a city develops too fast and doesn't prepare for properly for the development.

And why? Because of all the ****ing power lines!!

Actually I did notice it, but we were talking about power lines. The main things thought were attractive on the street, though, were the lamps. I can imagine them looking nice at night.
