Nah, as much as it reflects badly on the person giving charity the point is the person receiving it. Bono might be a self-righteous twat but I imagine the people who've benefited from his bull**** could care less. That doesn't mean the self-righteous twat deserves the pat on the back, but at least someone got to eat.

On a ****ing internet forum? Yes. But in the wider scope of charity? Shame and social incentive are powerful. Why do you think organized religions contribute so much?

That's all I mean

In my honest opinion I just think starting a thread on an Internet music forum is lame. Asking for proof that you did something nice is lame. And whatever level of lameness it had originally only increased after people went in to confrontationally justify themselves when others disagreed about it.

I don't care either way since it's a thread on a ****ing internet forum. At the very least it offers me the chance to troll, and at best some guy gets a sandwich.

The homeless people here suck. If you even tried to do something nice they start an all out verbal assault and won't accept anything

I ran up to a homeless man to give him some money today but it just turned out to be Eddie Vedder.
