IMO of course.
I don't like any of my family members beyond my sister and have had nothing but love for my dogs, so I guess you could say that it's worse than losing a family member.

The way you react says outrage. You didn't have to say it. I am not telling you not to be offended. I am just saying maybe you can take a step back and realize that people experience grief in different ways.

I agree but those that feel the opposite are the types that go on and on about how much their mom ****ing sucks and they hate them. The stereotypical white angry teen that is like I wish you were dead mom!

You say that now, but imagine if I was your dad.

Yeah

That's basically the Dark Mountain argument.

That contradicts evolution. If certain things were "meant to" be used as resources for other things you would most likely see them evolve to produce more off soring and not improve their survivability against natural predators.

Isn't being eaten by birds who don't digest the seeds a huge way that plants spread?

Not that I agree with DJ's oil tycoon argument here.

Yes and that mechanism is for the survival of the plant. They didnt evolve to get eaten so the animals that eat them could use them for energy. If they did the seeds would also be a digestable source of nutrients.

Not sure i see how that goes against my point if that was your intent.

Just an example of how being consumed can be evolutionary advantageous.
