You Americans won't know this, but Manchester City is now one of the biggest football clubs in the UK, one of the most successful in the world, and they are a shoo-in to win the title this season. This is serious in a whole new way. This will or should cause seismic vibrations right through the world of sport, and through the city of Manchester.

Everyone always says that it's too soon for this conversation, but after this and Penn State I think that it's time to outlaw sports.
