Default Radiohead versus Lana Del Rey

So Radiohead is sueing Lana Del Rey for stealing their song Creep. Get Free by Lana Del Rey does sound a lot like the Radiohead song.
What do you think about this case?

I still can't get over Radiohead stealing Street Spirit from this Russian band.

I don't think that is happening anymore.

Creep had two co-writers

I hope the members of Radiohead take a stand against this

Sounds similar but so what? **** copyrights

I just listened to the song - they really ain't got much of a case. I get that it's a similar melody, but it isn't lifted, and certainly not as much of a rip-off as Creep is of The Air That I Breathe.

So if Lana Del Rey ends up paying, does Radiohead have to give part of it to that other band?

I don't why they bother personally. I always think of the George Harrison My Sweet Lord/ He's So Fine suit. Harrison lost, but he got his revenge later when he bought the rights to He's So Fine.

Yeah, copyright is goofy. Especially when it's virtually impossible to not copy part of another song, even inadvertently.

That Russian song is surprisingly good.
