Since I have to deal with lots of German people trying to speak English, there are lots of annoying Germanisms.
For example 'aktualisieren', means 'to update' in German, so of course everyone keeps saying 'actualize/actualization' instead of 'update'.
It's understandable and somewhat forgivable but pretty annoying due to its ubiquitousness.

Did you speak German back in the day or just picked up a few words and phrases?

You should really be more respectful of your grammar. She's an old lady and you should care about her. She's your mother's mother after all.

I found it.

Keep track of it in future.

Does it though? No one is saying woulda/shoulda/coulda... Would've/Should've/Could've are all legitimate contractions that could easily be mistaken for would of/should of/could of when speaking and then transcribed incorrectly.

This is similar to "play it by year" and "for all intensive purposes"..

No.. the phonetic similarities between the "'ve" sound in the contraction and "of" could easily be misinterpreted.

Thanks for that enlightening rebuttal, Elph.

Read 'this is a mute point' in an e-mail recently. From a native speaker.
It's not even pronounced the same way, dumbass.

Similarities made less distinguishable from one another by lazy speech.
